The Bachelor and The Bachelorette: reality TV shows which, in six episodes, ask a man or woman to cut to the chase in the dating scene, get their hearts fluttering, and shop for a life-time mate. On both shows, a good-looking, successful, and likeable single man/woman searches for the woman/man of his or her dreams. Each will be introduced to a couple dozen women or men with the hopes that one of them will eventually become his bride/her groom.
Over here in the Lucky Hearts Department at MarsVenus.com, we've been wagering on whether or not these matches made in TV studio heaven will become the real dream. Our theory: Bachelorettes will usually get married and the bachelors will not. And, interestingly enough dear readers, not one bachelor has made an engagement last longer than a few weeks; while both bachelorettes got engaged with a ring and a wedding date set. One has already made it down the aisle!
For all of you true "reality" believers out there we'll show you why we are behind the "old-fashioned" dating advice dispensed at MarsVenus.com.
