  One more thing...

In today's email world, full of SPAM, viruses, trojans, spyware and things we have yet to think of... many people are unable to get the newsletters and services they request. Your email provider is working hard to ensure that your time is not wasted sifting through unnecessary garbage in your inbox, and we are hard at work trying to deliver the messages you request. Sometimes it feels like we're working against each other.

Below are some specific guidelines and additional help for the most popular email clients. If your email client is not included below, to verify that you will get our mailings log into your email account and check email options for more details.

AOL & Netscape:

AOL version 9.0 has custom spam blocker protection for all of their customers. This was an option for versions prior to 9.0 and is part of their default protection in version 9.0. All 9.0 users, and users who choose spam blocker protection in an earlier version receive ONLY emails from people in their address books. In order to receive the MarsVenus.com newsletter you must have our address in your book. Netscape's email is powered by AOL so the same procedures apply.

Hotmail:

Hotmail uses a Junk Mail Filter to examine incoming messages and automatically send email it has identified as junk to your Junk Mail folder. You can choose your own level of protection: Default, Enhanced, or Exclusive. E-mail messages sent to your Junk Mail folder are automatically deleted after a specified number of days; or, if you use the Junk Mail Deletion options, you can choose to have messages deleted as soon as they are sent to the Junk Mail folder.

To set up the Junk Mail Filter, sign in to your account, click Options, and then click Junk Mail Filter under Mail Handling. You can decide the level of protection you want:

Default- This is the basic setting and is always turned on. Your Inbox will be protected on a minimal level.

Enhanced- This level should catch most junk mail. Check your Junk Mail folder every week to make sure there aren't any valid e-mail messages (from friends, for example) in that folder. If you see a message that should not be in your Junk Mail folder, click This is not Junk Mail to avoid having e-mail from the same source sent to the Junk Mail folder in the future.

Exclusive- This setting is the best way to ensure that you receive no junk mail. You will only receive e-mail from people or groups in your Contacts, or on your Safe List; all other e-mail will be sent to your Junk Mail folder (with the exceptions of MSN Hotmail WebCourier subscription newsletters and MSN Hotmail Member Letters).

Hotmail has a new feature that allows you to block most e-mail images until you have a chance to review the message. Once you have determined that the e-mail is from a trusted source, you can choose to view the blocked images. To learn more about this feature, see the Help topic: About image filtering.

Yahoo:

As part of our continuing efforts to increase the quality of our Yahoo! Mail service, the Yahoo! Mail team implemented a filtering system intended to radically reduce the amount of spam you receive in your inbox by directing most bulk messages to your bulk mail folder. This filtering system (called SpamGuard) is automatically activated and a bulk mail folder is generated when you receive a message that our automatic filter determines was sent in bulk.

Our intent is to send solicited emails (those bulk messages you have requested) to your inbox, however, we may occasionally send these messages to your bulk mail folder. If this occurs, let us know by forwarding the message to a Yahoo! Customer Care associate. Just click on the "This is not spam" link on the message itself. Messages will remain in your bulk mail folder for a minimum of 30 days, unless you delete them yourself. After 30 days, the messages will be subject to automatic removal.

You may wish to empty (delete the contents of) your bulk mail folder yourself on a periodic basis as these messages will count towards your mail quota until deleted. The Yahoo! Mail system automatically filters the majority of incoming bulk or commercial email directly to your bulk mail folder. If you receive mail in your bulk mail folder that you would like in your inbox, you can set up a filter to redirect the mail. You can find more information at filters help. http://help.yahoo.com/help/mail/manage/manage-06.html

Juno:

Juno's Platinum and Juno SpeedBand Members receive safe lists and block lists as part of their package. To ensure that you receive our newsletter, add our address, available in your Welcome E-mail, to your address book.

Earthlink:

EarthLink's spamBlocker will block virtually 100% of spam by only delivering emails that come from people in your address book. The easiest way to use spamBlocker is to download and install EarthLink's Total Access software and use EarthLink's Mailbox. To receive our newsletter in your inbox, please add our address, available in your Welcome E-mail, to your address book.

Lycos:

Under "Mail Home", click "options" where you can select your level of email protection. This is something you personally select. You can select different levels of protection or you can only receive email from those you select. If you choose this option, please add our address, available in your Welcome E-mail, to your address book.

Eudora 6.0.1:

Eudora 6.0.1's SpamWatch feature makes filtering out junk simple, easy and automatic. Right out of the box, most junk mail will be quarantined in the "Junk" mail box. SpamWatch is easy to use and can be trained to know which mail you consider junk.Eudora 6.0.1 also helps you sort through the Junk mail box to find "wanted mail," if there is any. The junk mail box provides a numeric ranking system or "Junk Score". A higher number indicates email with more criteria defining that mail as spam. SpamWatch is available only for Eudora Paid mode users.

Training SpamWatch:

Using the "Junk" command in the Message menu trains Eudora that a selected mail is Junk. SpamWatch then adds this criteria to its list of spam terms. Conversely, wanted email that ends up the in the Junk box can be deemed "Not Junk" through the same menu . These actions "teach" Eudora your preferences and why certain mail should be considered "Junk" or "Not" Junk in the future. When you receive the MarsVenus.com newsletter, be sure to mark this as "Not Junk." This will alert your email program to accept our newsletter in the future.

Again, the easiest way to ensure that you will receive our newsletter is to add our address, available in your Welcome E-mail, to your address book.

If you have questions or concerns about this please contact your email provider for assistance.

Best,
