    Do you suffer from ADHD?

I am a mother of a child with ADHD AND SENSORY PROCESSING DYSFUNCTION.I have always had ADD but was never diagnosed with it, didn't know what was wrong, self medicated and generally felt better. I plan on following your regime suggested for addictions in women. My son is almost 16 and has taken Adderall since he was 10. He is up to 30mg. now a day. It helps him calm himself for school but that's it. Would NADH be what he needs? As far as you know has there been any breakthroughs regarding SPD in terms of what can help eliminate the symotoms? He has such a disconnect with understanding emotions, controlling them and himself, his mind is always in such chaos that he will do something absent mindedly and later swear he didn't do it. He never knows where anything is at and has no ability to recall his steps at all. He is a brilliant person but he can't concentrate enough in class to care about or understand his assignments therefore he is failing a couple classes. It has always been beyond exhausting dealing with this boy and his behavior. Any suggestions you may have would be greatly appreciated.

I had adhd and was diagnosed as an adult.  This was diagnosed at the same as my son.  Both my son and I were on adderall 30mg for many years.  This seemed to improve my symptoms.  However, after about 13 years, I had terrible side effects from the medicine.  I was paranoid, hearing things, was believing the worst would happen and focused on the wrong things.  This caused my boyfriend and I to break up.  He realized it was the medicine that was causing me issues.  I stopped the medicine and recovered within 3 months.  I’ll never take it again.  I’ve been off for about 8 months and feel so much better.  I’m still trying to mend my relationship.  We went through a lot and hopefully we can overcome this.  Although we are back together, He still can’t say “I love you” since before  the break up. we have been together over 15 yearsbut this took such a toll on our relationship.  I’m sure he cares because we are back together but he’s reserved due to this.

    any suggestions would really help.
